In 2017 we developed The Butterfly Promise. All our products are free from parabens, phthalates, dyes and SLS. We believed so strongly in it that we had it trademarked. This logo is on every one of our products as we believe it captures the essence of the company. Why these specific ingredients? Well in a nutshell everything you put on your skin is absorbed into your body. Let’s look:

Parabens – A chemical preservative, that according to some studies, is an endocrine disruptor. It’s nearly banned in most of the EU. Much has been written about the use of parabens; the bottom line for us is that they aren’t needed, so why use it?

Phthalates – A petrol chemical used in plastics as well as cosmetics. Often used to keep materials pliable (hair spray, nail polish, lip gloss), it has shown to be a hormone disruptor and recently banned in CA and the EU.

Dyes -Synthetically created from chemically refined petroleum oil or coal-tar derivatives that contain toxic heavy metals. Despite being legal, FD&C colors can still be harmful to the body.

SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) – Banned in the EU, this ingredient and its cousin SLES are known to cause skin irritation, may cause urinary tract issues in children, and are endocrine disruptors.

A butterfly has a lot of symbolism. For Enfusia, it symbolizes nature, purity, and beauty. It’s a commitment!
